As the monsoon season begins, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad has issued a travel advisory for the safety of passengers.

In its advisory, the RGIA requested passengers to plan their travel considering the prevailing weather conditions.

It also advised passengers to allocate extra time for their journeys to the airport.

Several flights were canceled by Mumbai airport due to heavy rains and bad weather conditions, including flights to Hyderabad.

The advisory also suggested that passengers consider different transportation options such as cabs, taxis, and the Pushpak Airport Liner, among others.

In a bid to address cab shortage issues during peak hours, the RGIA has teamed up with different cab operators to suggest proper solutions. Some of the solutions suggested include waiving cancellation fees and working with popular cab aggregators to source additional cabs.

This is in addition to deploying additional Passenger Service Associates and making available a new help desk to address transport-related queries.

The airport in Hyderabad is also planning to showcase the real-time availability of taxis in the arrival section.
